Metro Manila’s traffic has worsened in the last 5 years and every day isn’t getting any better. We’ve reached to the point where it is already accepted and should now be a factor when it comes to traveling around the city. Research says that we are losing about P2.4billion every day just to traffic! (This is crazy!) And what’s worse? When it rains, it’s expected to be a carmagedon! In all of this, how do put fitness in our already limited schedule with traffic taking the most of it? Our doctors and health professionals require us to have at least 30 minutes of physical activity at least twice a week. But how do we achieve this if it takes an average of 1 to 2 hours just to get to and from the gym? Maybe home training will suit you best! Stick with me as I write down the benefits of home training and hopefully it can convince you to give it a go but I also recognize that this may not be for everyone. As a coach for at least 7 years now and have worked in a gym for the first 4 years, I know that being part of a gym has its benefits too. If you prefer to be part of a community and enjoy the company of other people working out at the same time as you, then the gym is for you. The list goes on and all of those reasons are valid but one of the reasons why you should consider home training is because fitness should now be more CONVENIENT for you. 1. SAVE TIME. It takes you about 30 minutes to prepare your gym stuff, 30 to 60 minutes of travel and looking for parking, 60 to 90 minutes for your workout, 30 minutes for you to wash up and finally, if you leave during rush hour maybe you’ll be stuck in traffic for 1-2 hours at the least. All that time can be used to more important priorities in life like spending time with family and friends or more time for work.
